Old Dominick Distillery’s shares its plans for the restaurant space located in its 50,000-sq. ft. facility, downtown Memphis

Memphis, TN – June 23rd, 2017

Tonight, Old Dominick Distillery and the D. Canale family welcome friends and family to a private event, the night before its “Memphis Spirit Returns” grand celebration on Saturday June 24th. The Memphis Spirit Returns event marks the grand opening of Old Dominick Distillery, 150 years after Old Dominick Whiskey and D. Canale Co settled on Front Street, downtown Memphis.

For the Friday night affair, Alex and Chris Canale, great-great-grand sons of Domenico Canale, “Old Dominick”, hired chefs Andy Ticer, Michael Hudman and their EnjoyAM Restaurant Group, including Hog & Hominy head bartender Aaron Hanna to cater the affair and set up the bar. 

Guests will enjoy a special menu that the chefs created just for the night, along with fine wines and craft cocktail creations, made with Old Dominick Vodkas and the award-winning Memphis Toddy.

Ticer and Hudman, graduates of Johnson & Wales University in Charleston, own four restaurants in Memphis—Andrew Michael Italian Kitchen, Hog & Hominy, Porcellino’s Craft Butcher and Catherine and Mary’s and are partners in New Orleans’ restaurant Josephine Estelle. They were finalists for this year’s James Beard Foundation Awards’ Best Chef Southeast and were Food & Wine magazine’s Best New Chefs in 2013. 

Old Dominick Distillery is excited to announce that the chefs will be opening their newest restaurant concept in the 5,000-square foot space, on the north side of the facility, where 100-year old warehouse windows look out over the Mississippi River. The future dining concept will become something truly unique to Memphis and will add to the growing and vibrant downtown dining experience. The restaurant is slated to be open by the end of the year. Details about the restaurant name, atmosphere and menu will be released at a later date.
